Ayo was the MOST engaged I have seen him this year...wonder who put a bug in his ear and challenged him against a Top 5?
Frazier was like a lil pest that Simpson did not care for...good for him for standing ground.
Giorgi, needs to just continue to go hard, have fun, but man play all the time like that dunk drive!
Kofi...the MAN for us, loved the game, the passion, didn't like the accidental right hook...hope the ref got that trucks license ###
Kipper just needs to give us what he is giving us, nothing more.
DaMonte did some lil things, will be his role for career.
Dre, had some key drives, didn't over push it which was nice.

Overall this game was BU signature win, his best team effort since being hired, and this team showed after Maryland they WANTED this one!!! Well done ILLINI!
Good summation. The mich state game last years right up there, too.

I would be really interested in what coach worked out Kofis free throw issues....that coach deserves kudos!

Overall great showing.....is it just me or do others see Dre ignoring wide open wings? I counted at least twice he could have dropped a pass to AG for an open 3.
Dre has tunnel vision, but he’s the best finishing small guard at Illinois in memory.

My word....Kofi at the podium......his look alone would slay most men.

Great team effort on defense. Loved to see everyone get involved on offense; only a few forced possessions driving into double/triple teams. I’ve been dogging Ayo, and happy to see him finish with only a couple shots in the second half. Shows he’s capable of not forcing things.

For the first time in a while it felt like we were in control with a lead. Chances are Michigan doesn’t stay top 10 all year so come tourney time hopefully this is still a Q1 win.

Man I really hope this is finally the start of the turnaround. I am awfully tired of living in various other places around the country and hearing people say "Illinois... didn't they used to be good at basketball or something?"

We've been so irrelevant in recent years that I've had people try to convince me that Illinois was only good for a few years in the early 2000s but otherwise hasn't really ever been a basketball school. It's nauseating.

Gonna go ahead and say it after the last two games and the first half of Arizona. This team has what it takes to get to the Final Four this year... If they make the tourney.

I think we're going to consistently get what we're getting from Kofi and GB as long as they stay out of foul trouble. Our guards have been good this year too, but want to see them take the next step offensively as that's what usually wins out in the tourney. Going to need 40+ from Ayo, TF and AF and hopefully 15 from Kipper, AG, DW, and TJ. Hit those numbers, don't turn the ball over, and keep rebounding like we have been and I think we have a legitimate shot.

This is the most Illinois of Kool-Aid.
