Almost looks like this is the game plan all along. Keep it close at the half, then take them out in the second half.

They’ve double and triple teamed Kofi...if someone doesn’t start hitting jumpers he is going to be completely nullified the whole game. This is a game where he looks very much like a freshman. We have to create room for him by hitting shots.

6 made field goals in the 1st half. But in it due to defense. Reminds me of the ol' Weber days...

I have been less and less impressed by Feliz lately. Hope he gets hot and take over a game but his strength of getting to the rim hasn’t fit into the offensive scheme recently.

I hope we can get AG some looks. GB is yet to wake up. Kofi needs to learn from this experience and be able to deal with the pressure. That was a great cross court pass to Ayo he just missed it. Normally solid feliz has struggled lately.

Let's give Rutgers credit. They are playing a perfect road game. We can't play much worse and are only down by three.

Just a horrible half of basketball this team has to show me they are mentally tough I do not see it, there is no way they show come out this flat and that is on BU
Just stop. You're theory applies to Rutgers and Pikeil too then. It's a tough, physical game, by two big, long, physical teams. This is what you get. It's ugly, it's physical, it's what was totally expected if you did some research.

If there's one complaint, it's not finishing layups and dunks. That's been an issue in all our our wins and losses. All the coach can do is put you in a position to score. It's up to Kofi to jam a perfectly thrown alley oop.

They are playing hard on defense, so it Rutgers. They're struggling on offense. So is Rutgers.

Even game.

19.4% fg in first half. Our shots are extremely poor quality. Trent needs to shoot if open..no matter how much time on clock. Need Allen in so we have two shooters in at all times.

Underwood has to tell giorgi unless it's a lay up he shouldn't shoot. He's 2-10. He's shouldn't be shooting that many in a game let alone a half.
GB needs to get shots but only in the paint. He and Kofi both missed bunnies all take as otten as we can get them. I do agree that GB is shooting too much outside of what should be his role. I wish Feliz would shoot a bit less and get more looks for AG. He has been our best shooter over the last few games and needs more and more looks

I agree. 10 shots in a half from GB is too much. He's not patient....rushes everything.

Need to get DMW out of there and it'll be fixed
..sarcasm;)

For all those people who say, "It doesn't matter if AG doesn't start as long as he gets starter minutes..." The first half, AG did not get starter minutes and was not in foul trouble and we need shooting threats. When he's not starting, it takes at least to the first media timeout to get him in. I say put our most dangerous lineup on the court from the start and let's get after it." (rant over)

On Pace for 36, woo hoo!
They're on pace for 42. The game is what it is. Just like the Wisconsin game, have to play tough, play hard and make some shots at the end. Two very evenly matched teams, who win using the same style of play. That's what we're seeing.

You know what Illinois lacks? A guy who can consistently create his own jumper. Everything has to happen off of screens or other action. I was watching Brandon Paul highlights and he could create space and hit jumpers, which is something I haven’t seen in the last few years.

we are turning them over or we would be even further behind. Lets keep forcing TOs and win the game. WE get the ball first i think thanks to a hustle tie up by AG

Had to listen to the first half on radio. Two thoughts:
1. Sounded like a hideous rock fight, and I’m lucky to have spared my eyes
2. On radio, you can tell when Alan is in the game because you here his name every 12 seconds as part of the play. You can tell when DW is in because you don’t hear Alan or Damonte mentioned at all.
