McD all-american game roster for 2020 View attachment 5525

I'm literally pissed Adam didn't get the nod, but I feel they've (Mickey D's selection committee) been married to using the ESPN rankings and college picks as the biggest indicator these days. I just feel like the USA team performance and other pundits believed Adam was a burger boy. Let this be fuel for him like Kofi and Ayo.

Miller is certainly deserving. I've been watching this kabuki for a looong time now. Didn't think Miller would make it. This slight may end up benefitting him (and us). Hope so.

I just find it amazing that guys who below the the top 25 spots but committed to Duke, Kentucky, UNC, or Kansas somehow always get the nod.

Wait...what??? Is this what legal weed is bringing on us?? I mean, I'm all about principles and stuff.....but short of taking a leak on the Alma Mater or telling Illini Nation to F off.......there is zero....I mean less than zero chance you don't take KW if he wants to transfer here.

Hard pass? Soft pass? GTFO! Open your arms and dress that man in orange and blue and stick him on the wing!!

It's not going to happen...but it's just silly talk to think we wouldn't welcome that transfer. Silly. Like tripping out on acid and thinking the telephone poles are chasing you down the street silly.

The RJ Davis (UNC) selection seems mysterious, but as @soupy17's post shows, none of the other picks seem particularly outrageous. Some pretty highly ranked guys from the teams you named didn't make it ...
  • #6 Jalen Johnson (Duke)
  • #20 Devin Askew (Kentucky)
  • #27 Isaiah Jackson (Kentucky)
I'm pretty curious how some of these guys got skipped (e.g. #6 and #7).

Oh no, I get that....you don't give up on those schollies, but there will be a transfer or a spot open for KW if that somehow played out. I'd bet my beach house AND my mountain chalet.
Whoa, the chalet, this is getting serious!

Kahlil weakness as a freshman are being shown, his athletic ability and skill set outside of being a true wing shooter is what got him there. His outside shooting/lack there of for range is what is being reported as a "flaw" if you will for playing time so far. Even NBA scout boards have noticed amd stated the same thing. Is he a talent sure, is he a talent that would fit the new BU system as well as some others we may have ??? Either way, it is a pipedream so no worries either way.

That's pretty deep. lol But still a "no thanks" in my opinion.
Right! We all have a point of view, and are entitled to it. I would still pass on him, but that's just me.
I don't think KW is going to come here, but even if there was a chance, you welcome it. If I'm a 17/18 year old kid and I play well enough to go to UK, I take it if I see it as the best opportunity to get me to the NBA. UK has a proven track record of getting recruits to the NBA, UI and Underwood don't have a track record like that. You might say, "well he would have had more playing time here to show off his abilities" and that would be true, however, he bet on himself and didn't take the easy route to playing time. He believed that he could break through at UK and shine with hard work and his talent. I also think you have to look how this would impact recruiting in Chicago as well if it was made public that he wanted to come to UI and we turned him down. That's a big if because I never see it happening.

This may not be the best example, but I liken it to this: let's say you grow up loving HP computers and their offices are closest to wear you grew up, and you're searching for jobs and you get an offer from HP to come work for them. You're about to start looking at accepting an offer and then Apple and Google come in with offers. You know it's going to be hard to shine there with all the talent they have and it's further from home, but you bet on yourself and take the chance because of the pedigree those companies have. Now it's a year later and you're relegated to small, mindless projects and you feel undervalued. I feel like that's where KW is right now. He's got to decide if he thinks he still has an opportunity to grow at UK or if he'd be better off at a different university (company).

Southside mentioned for Johnson. Other guy is Makur Maker, who is trying to figure out a way to go straight to the draft. Not sure if that's the reasoning for not picking him for the game or not.

Yesterday he said that he prefers Wendys anyways. I was hoping he turned this snub into fire to beat Simeon last night, but they lost at home by 2.

I'll throw in my palace overlooking a precipice...
That does sound very valuable. I would think that's very rare to find in Florida (as opposed to beach houses). . . a precipice, not a palace.
