We just offered a top 30 Junior out of Arizona with interest in visiting...
He should already have two 5 Stars in Ayo and Kofi. If I remember correctly they both dropped, of course, after picking us.Wow, BU gonna have TWO 5*s on the roster soon between Miller and Whitney.

Not infatuated with the stars. We have talent without stars and there seems to be a lot of stars without talent. Trust our coaches not the ratings!
This was posted yesterday along with some other posts stating we will be adding at least one and possibly 2 more 5 star recruits. When he has posted in the past it has occurred . If that happens it is not speculative but fact that someone else is leaving because we only have so many spots. I am not sure who could be a grad transfer other type of transfer. The current players likely know who is pondering it. To try and figure out what must happen if we add these players is part of college hoops in 2020 and certainly part of recruiting message boards discussion. I want the best for all of our players and those that may decide to go elsewhere so they can play more or for whatever reason. I do not understand why that is upsetting. It doesnt mean we dont want them here but just trying to look at it from each ones perspective. If i were a player i wanna play. Go Illini!

You are correct. That is what was talked about, so someone leaving is not relevant imo.
He did initially state both recruits and transfers I believe...so if so, transfers can only mean one of ours or soon to be one of ours.
One thing that hasn't been talked about (at least that I have seen) is how far Kofi has come from HS to now. I watched several of his HS games as I'm sure many of you have. He gassed early in any/every game that I watched. His footwork wasn't sound to say the least. He was totally reliant on size to win and when he went up against someone close to his size and had even close to his level of ability.....frankly...he lost. Point being....the Illinois coaching staff as a whole has done a fantastic job molding him. If he goes pro after this year as some have speculated I believe it's a big mistake. One more year at IL and he's a lottery pick....period. I can't imagine his development in less than one year has gone unnoticed by HS big men. If you're a long time IL fan like I am I get tired of getting our !!! kicked in inside. At least I feel a little better about losing if I don't get pushed around. That's why I was looking forward to the MO game. Granted that didn't play out the way that any of us wanted BUT look at the response since that game. That loss could have been part of the turnaround. If they win that game it's not like it's a big win from a NCAA /tournament/Quad standpoint. No more getting pushed around. If you watch IL games closely...as soon as Kofi goes out of the game the other team starts driving to the basket. When he is in the game....oh hell no! Great for Kofi...great for IL big men recruiting.

I certainly am not hoping that anyone leaves. I do hope that each individual chooses the best situation that they feel is best for them to succeed whether that is on or off the court. I have some faith that what was posted will happen given the past so i am anxious to see what happens. Whatever happens i want what is best for the players and hope it leads to wins for our beloved Illini. Any ideas or news on what that may be i am ready to listen to your hypothesis or facts! Thats kind of what these recruiting news boards are for. Either way lets get get better and continue to bring in the players and the B10 Championships!

Jeez, reading these last few pages just reminded me how high the Illini's ceiling is. It's been so long I almost forgot. What's scary is 5 stars are supposedly opening their ears....yet they haven't even seen what this Illinois hype train is truly capable of. They haven't seen the SFC at full voice (they will on Thursday). They don't know anything about Illinois being all the talk in Chicago (they will when we win 3 of the next 4). We're just getting started!
Jalen Suggs has been one of my favorites to watch lately. Not surprised he got a mini bump up.
BJ Boston has looked good, but I didn’t think top 5 good. Cliff Omoruyi has been fun to watch too. Glad to see him get a considerable bump up.

️️️️️I hope it is sold out. Although i love the new Hall I dont know if it will ever be as loud as it used to be with over 1000 more seat and it held almost 17,000 and no suites and it was full to row 21 in C section like it used to be,. I havent seen it full like that for a while. It is nice the people are closer to the floor now. Hell there are still a few A section seats left when i looked tonight out of curiosity . (i know its 100,200 and 300 level now but i am old school) to me its always Assembly Hall like Bardo just said in the Iowa/Wisky game) I hope it is full and rocking like it used to be so often. I havent heard or seen that full in a while. We are pointed in the right direction.

I have zero problem if folks in the know want to post something suggesting a player may be transferring. It happens now more than ever. Heck, it even happens in HS and with AAU teams, some of our current players have even bounced around in HS/AAU. No big deal, I think talking about it. As long as it's respectful and not someone attempting to degrade or push out a player. Things don't work out sometimes, we've all likely switched jobs a time or two or ten because things weren't working as well as we hoped or something better came along. Some of us have maybe even been fired :wave:.... That's life.
