Former BBall Recruiting Targets

In defense of Woldetensae, he is new to the team. Expect a learning curve.

Always like to keep an eye on the Indian Hills guys as I have cousins in both Centerville and Ottumwa.

Hmm, just like Giorgi and Georgi

He officially changed it. I think a year or two ago. I guess too many people calling him "Ex-avior"? Maybe didn't want to switch twitter handles.

There is an official visit thread on page 3. That might be a good source, not sure if all those are in this list. Thanks for putting this together!

spicy g is at northeastern. A few more minutes than at ILL, similar rate of production. 15-20 mpg

The name escapes me, but what about the guy who transferred from ILLINI to Depaul?

Jalen Coleman-Lands. I would label his tenure at Depaul lackluster, but he is averaging 12 PPG--a nice piece for them and he would helped. Crazy his freshman year 3pt% was over 42% averaging over 6 attempts a game.

The 6' 8" Lithuanian kid from the northwest burbs whose name escapes me. Washed out at Northwestern and quickly too. Thought he was gonna be a good one, lol.

Rapolas Ivanauskas--Barrington
You can throw Barrett Benson in that 2016 class.
Charlie Moore's Senior year.

TRank had Ivanauskas ranked #10 in the Patroit League last year. The transfer from Holy Cross, Grandison, we took was ranked #19.

Woldetensae hasn't been a huge factor for Virginia. His 21 against Wake in OT was only his second double digit scoring effort of the season, the first being 11 points against UNC in December. Added him to the sheet.

He may not be a D1 Star for Virginia but he is playing great defense for 25 minutes while scoring more than DMFW, KipSet in a similar amount of time. Sliding him into our roster and having him take 1/3 of each of Kipper, DMFW, and Tevian’s minutes would be a net positive to our offense and with the fresher legs probably a net positive on defense too. We’d have had to have passed on 1 of our 2 transfers to take him but our practice squad would be just as full and we’d have another schollie for 2020/2021 so this forum would be happy as we’d get to complain about an unfilled spot!

Liddell would have been a positive but not a game changer like Ayo or Kofi.

We clearly would not have lost to Miami, Maryland, and Missouri with Woldetensae and would be in the Top 10.

Miami and Maryland were 1 defensive stop away from Ws so even a tiny bump in team performance would have made those wins... Missouri was something else.

With a minute to play, we were only down 5 to Missouri. Clearly winnable.
