Can’t afford to come out slow in this one. Need to treat every game from here on out like it’s a tournament game

Nebraska lost by just 3 at Rutgers and just 2 at Maryland, so no way am I counting this game as easy.
Agreed. Both they and NW have been so close on a number of games. I think we’ve seen what we can do when we are locked in and what happens when we are not, so we can’t afford any let downs. Hope they get some good rest and come out hungry. And for gods sake lets shoot lights out at home for a change.

Rest of the schedule is vs. teams below us or tied with us (Ioway). Won't be easy but better than facing teams above us.

Look, I am simply thanking my lucky stars that Ayo is healthy and we just got a H-U-G-E win on a top ten team's court ... but can we just, for once, beat an inferior team like a drum from start to finish in front of our home fans?

I was at Purdue game. We beat em like a drum from start to finish. I was kinda disappointed. Close games are more fun!

It would be great to get off to a fast start and put Nebraska away early. Then for the last 10 minutes we should feed Giorgi every time down the court. If BU can somehow reinvigorate him to give us an efficient 10 ppg that would take this team to another level.

Only need 2 more wins to make the tourney. It would be great to get those 2 out of the way against Nebraska and Northwestern like we should.

The schedule definitely turns in our favor. 3.5(counting NW as half a home game) out of 5 at home and we should be favored in four of those games.

Tonight gave us a whole lot of breathing room. What a brutal five games that was. Not sure anyone in the country had a rougher stretch.

Need to play loose and confidently in this one against Neb. There is so much more to lose in this game than there is to win. Hopefully Giorgi can get back on track and Trent can drill a few threes and we win by 10+.

Hearing Ayo's post game, this 6 days off simply could not come at a better time. He's going to be sore tomorrow for sure. Having a couple of days of treatment is just what the doctor ordered. Think Kofi needs a couple of days too. With him, it looks like he's smacked the freshman wall little bit.

Six days before Nebraska and Northwestern next week sets up as well as it could have. No games in this league are easy, but I feel a WHOLE not better now than I did six hours ago.

NB lost at Rutgers and MD by 2/3. True.

But, who plays D like us, when we are at full strength?

We win.

Of the teams around us in the standings Iowa has a tough schedule ahead OSU at MSU, PSU, PUR at IL. MSU pretty tough after NEB Iowa, at MD at PSU OSU. Rutgers has a pretty rough one against a hot MICH team, at Wis at PSU, MD, PUR. OSU's is pretty tough also at Iowa, MD at Neb, MICH, IL, at MSU. MICH still has some tough games at Rut, at PUR, Wis, at OSU, Neb, at MD. PSU's is pretty tough at IND, RUT, at Iowa, MSU, at NW. Wis has the easiest RUT, at MICH, MINN, NW, at IND.

I think part of the issue with Kofi is that there's plenty of tape on him now. The tape against cupcakes didn't help any opponents because those athletes were outmatched. Big Ten opponents were surprised at first but then adjusted.

We need Kofi to find his next gear (I'm certain he has one) and a better grip on the ball. Drives me nuts when it's taken away from him so easily down low. He might be stripped at times, but it shouldn't happen as often as it does now.

It's been stated before, but Kofi needs to think "slam, slam, slam" whenever he is in close. Being a good free throw shooter will make that pay off time and time again.

It may be he needs more lift, and Fletch can help with that for next year.
