Couldn’t agree more about how surprised by this year. I wonder what Vegas odds were for us to finish in the top two? Positive thinking!

No kidding. Maybe I best let the professionals at Amtrak handle my transport. :thumb:
Better catch a train around tipoff of the game against OSU on Thursday to ensure you make it to Champaign in time. (I rarely hear of any of my friends getting anywhere on time when taking Amtrak)

Frazier currently sits as the #3 all time season's best FT% @ 86.4%. Tied with Bill Small. Alan Griffin would be #6 on the list but will probably not have enough season attempts (75 min).
I’m surprised Kiwane is not near the top of the list. He was so regular at the charity stripe.

Wow...what a huge motivator for the Illini....OSU comes in at #19 in AP poll while Illini almost ignored but put at #22. No one thinks our guys can win in Columbus and have written them off. Pretty sure that no one connected with OSU hoops likes that scenario....Illini are tough enough to beat without a huge chip on the shoulder. Love it!!

IF OSU wins their final 2 and the Illini lose out, the Buckeyes finish two games back of Illini for the B1G season. Yet writers like how the Buckeyes "LOOK". Can't fix stupid...unless the fix is in.
This is where Officiating is crucial. Having a call to slap 2 fouls on Kofi, Trent or Georgi. Cost us at home up huge against Maryland, Michigan St. And on the road against up against Iowa. Completely changed the games and they seem to always go against us!

Isn’t recruiting talent a big part of the job?
Not OP, but I'll respond; obviously, recruiting is a big part of the job, but if you only recruit "lesser talents" and still win, I'd say that is pretty impressive!

I hate thinking about that game. We got screwed against Miami with that Larkin wrong call. Thanks for bringing it up guys!! Sheesh.

ESPN: Jason Benetti & Dan Dakich

Game Notes
Hot take: Benetti's so good, he cancels Dakich's bigheadedness enough to make the games enjoyable to listen to.

I will say, I miss Dakich bringing up the fact he coached Mav Morgan and [insert UM center's name here] every single time he called our games.
