honestly feel like what happened with Hoiberg tonight decreases the chances that the NCAAT is played at all. the decision may be made before his results even come back but the optics may be enough

Hope he’s okay obviously

That will likely put an end to the BTT and at this point I’d be shocked if there is an NCAA tournament.

We're not going to be playing in the NCAA Tournament folks. I guess the drought continues...

There are definitely more important things than basketball, but this is really disappointing for the players who worked so hard all year to have it end like this.

I know I'm jumping the gun a bit, but the writing is on the wall.

Fred Hoiberg Bio:

Age 47
6'4
204 lbs
Iowa State shooting guard
Former NBA player

I'm a little older and probably in worse physical shape --- and I felt extremely safe/confident about attending the Big 10 tournament, until 5:00pm this afternoon, when I cancelled my Thursday flight and Indy hotel room. Watching this closely.....(keep thinking no way he has the virus.) But could he?

Lol a lock is a lock. If you want to pretend the team didn’t earn a spot that’s on you.

Apparently we should have been listening to Franny all along and skipping the handshake line.

If he has COVID-19, it means our entire team and staff were exposed.
They had a whole month to get exposed. I don't think that "self-quarentine" a.k.a. non-quarentine with the Wuhan 150 will have proved to have not aged too well. I remember the Johns Hopkins 2019-nCoV Heat Map had already been blowing-up by then.

At this point the only reason he's all clear is bc he tested positive for something else. At this point <2% of people known to have coinfection with another respiratory virus. Not impossible but improbable. That's my best guess.
at my institution only a rapid flu/rsv or rapid strep comes back that quickly
