He’s not a Kevin Durant clone. He’s much more physical than Durant is right now. He is more of a Chris Webber type but not quite the manchild Webber was coming out of HS
Keep in mind he just turned 17 a couple of months ago. Hes much younger than most kids in his own class. Can't imagine what hes like once he matures a little. Scary

senior Giorgi would be fine starting at center as long as we have either a really good 4, or a strong freshman 5 who can also give solid minutes. Giorgi's biggest issue at the 5 is his defense and foul trouble.

Kofi can defend the paint much better than Giorgi due mostly to his size. That would allow a small 4 but Giorgi needs some size alongside him. Could be BBV or Cole if they develop but need someone bigger than 6’5”-6’6”. Giorgi has proven he can compete offensively so not worried about that. We all seem to discount Jermaine as we haven’t seen any signs of him being ready, but maybe that is also a possibility. I’m more worried about this year if Kofi doesn’t return.

Now that Weston is staying as a '21, who is the staff working on to fill the open scholarships for next season? Chaundee Brown and...?

This pretty much states what his Mom had hinted at awhile back. Rumor had it that The Patrick school was his destination. Staff has had him on slow play for quite awhile. They are as Underwood says are going to be very very selective in the ships they have left. They certainly can be selective when they are recruiting at a high level.

TPS or Woodstock Academy is what I have heard.

That's good news to wake up to in the morning. Hope that is looking realistic at this point and comes to fruition! Appreciate the insight, Indy.
My worst case scenario is Ayo stays in the draft and goes undrafted, best case for me is he is drafted early 2nd, and middle ground is him coming back. I like seeing our underclassmen get drafted. Shows a lot about the program Underwood is building here.

For all the members on here who are members of the Tevian Jones fan club, he is looking at ASU, Colorado State, Long Beach State, Tx A&M and UCSB.

I'm not liking Weston's photo with Wake Forest jersey. No sir.

Nah, but how many recruits have we seen retweet Illini jersey mockups that didn't play here. Too many lol

Also Wake just made a coaching change and it remains to be seen how much of a destination they are moving forward in the near future. A new coach with a bunch of players leaving makes it look like a total rebuild.

Forbes will get a lot of kids. His problem is going to be getting them into school.

Anybody can get into ETSU. WF not so much.

Can we take a moment to applaud Underwood and his staff for turning this program around. Our roster right now is probably competitive enough to compete for an NCAA tournament bid. Yet, we have 3 scholarships left and they can either go to a 1st team All BIG PG, BIG FOY, former Top 40 recruit and double digit scorer at a high major, a guy who averaged 16,5,4 while carrying his team to an NCAA berth in 2019, and a 5 Star big man. Life is good as an Illini basketball fan.
