Whomever this x Ray is of has a laundry list of issues,
1: spinal stenosis
2. Scoliosis
3. Degenerative disk disease
4. They wont be playing sports much longer if they do at all..

Just for info purposes not at all related to IL recruiting for those that actually care. You can't tell the person in the xray has spinal stenosis based off these images. Also doesn't yet have degen disc disease from what I can tell. Especially given this is likely a youngish person. And before you start to doubt me, I do this for a living.

Not saying I doubt you since I know nothing on the subject, but just to point something out. Just because someone does something for a living, doesn't mean that you shouldn't ever doubt them on that subject. There are plenty people who are awful at their jobs but still get paid....

Watched the Illini Indiana game again last evening trying to get a feel for Justin Smith's game and how he would fit if he came here. I have a feeling the his fit would have been near the end of the bench. I may be wrong and we wont know now anyway. Count me in the we didn't want him anyway group. Good luck to him at Arkansas.

Doubtless you're both experts on the subject since you've both completely avoided the only question that matters here: Are his growth plates open?

Played with Jalen Brunson at Stevenson. Was a big time dunker in high school. I don't understand why he left Indiana. He played the most minutes of anyone on the team at Indiana.

Especially in health related matters, as we've seen recently...

Werner had an Indiana media guy on the show a few weeks ago. Said the NBA thought he needed to show he should shoot 3s & handle the ball. He didn’t think that was in the plan at Indiana, and with his 3 point percentage he implied that was probably not something Indiana was even considering.

So questioned the fit anywhere, thought maybe at Illinois with 1 in 4 out maybe we could sell him on the opportunity, but still raised the question of if we really want him knowing his goal was to prove he could make 3s for the next level.

Left me sort of neutral on if he would fit what we needed, talent wise as a 4 he seems like a no brainer ...fit for what he is looking to prove maybe not.

Don't need him under those circumstances. He would be far down the line in the pecking order. He is not going to be able to come in and jack up threes Tevian Jones style. Ayo, Kofi( if they return) Trent, Miller, Curbelo. That's a quick five already.

Relax 🤣 I know absolutely nothing about reading an x Ray, I am not a doctor by any means,
I am just your average sports loving basketball/football analyst..

I don't consider that a sad day. If it turns out this way, it will be our first player to successfully leave early for the NBA in a while and a good building block for recruiting purposes. Add Kofi next year and we can point to a guard and a big developed by the current staff in the NBA.

Good.

News.

I don't think anyone here would be sad if Ayo left and was drafted.

To be fair he would fit nicely at the 4 if he could shoot the 3 at a bit higher clip. Nice length, other comment was he is a lock down defender when focused and he had nice numbers on points & boards. I just came away worried how well our needs aligned with his, but it was one Indiana media members take on what he thought Smith was looking for at his next stop.
