I love a good countdown !Magic number of days to withdraw from NBA draft and return to college is 10.
They would want to have an official redshit year should they want to transfer schools or go to a lower level and get regular playing time.Ah, didn't know it was medical. Was he a walk on at SFA? I guess it doesn't make sense for a walk on to have a regular redshirt year.

I will not be ok if Kofi doesn’t come back, folks. I’m in a glass case of emotionMagic number of days to withdraw from NBA draft and return to college is 10.
I didn't see it, so apologies if this has already been discussed/posted, but Kofi (and Ayo) are on the list of potential combine participants. It could be cut down from 105 to 70 later on, but it is based on votes from NBA teams, so might have something to do with why Kofi is back in NY for now.

Is this just a list of everyone that has declared for the draft, or has it already been cut?I didn't see it, so apologies if this has already been discussed/posted, but Kofi (and Ayo) are on the list of potential combine participants. I can't stop laughing!Oof. A whole year of that? I know they eat a lot of tex-mex down there but that still sounds rough.

Look, I'm all about sending guys to the NBA. I know it's what is going to help take this program to the next level. That doesn't mean I need to be excited to see our two most dominant players leave, because it leaves us with one gaping hole. Those programs that are successful at getting the 1/2 and dones, are back filling those with similar level talent the next year. I think we are good replacing Ayo with our new guards, which I am ecstatic about, but Kofi? Kofi cannot be replaced at this point in time IMO. NOW, if we had a Foster or Big Mac coming in this year, I am sure I would feel more optimistic about replacing Kofi's production/presence.You don't like two Illini players being invited to the NBA Draft Combine when we haven't had even a single player invited in how many years?
I mean, yeah, I'd like to have them back next year for the sake of next year's team, but I'd also like they to both go pro for the sake of many of the teams after next year, who will benefit from BU & Co. selling NBA success to recruits.
What’s the purpose of ncaa requiring kids to withdraw their names before the draft anyways?
They allow baseball players to be drafted without losing amateur status.
Why haven’t they changed it to accommodate players this year allow them to remain in the draft? Must be strategic on part of NCAA, but why?

Do we think that the Lieb offer was because the staff had an inkling that Kofi may not be back? Just wondering.
I am not ready to be a one and done program. I like getting to know the players a bit and watching them grow. And as a coach.....to spend all that time and effort into convincing a player to come to your program and then only receiving one year for all that work....I will not be ok if Kofi doesn’t come back, folks. I’m in a glass case of emotion
It would be easier to swallow had we gotten our shot at the tournament. But to have it taken away and then have them both leave would hurt extra. I need to see us dominate like I think we will with Kofi back. We deserve it dang itI am not ready to be a one and done program. I like getting to know the players a bit and watching them grow. Oh yeah I know - just making the point of having the tournament taken away and then having to watch both Kofi and Ayo leave before we got a chance to dance would pour salt in the woundAyo's not coming back - mentally prepare yourself for that
