I look for Miller to get plenty of playing time, but I will be shocked if he gets a starting spot before 2021 unless or until he proves he can play defense at a B1G level. Freshmen have to earn their sport in a starting lineup by doing just that and playing consistently. If Griff did not earn his spot in two years, why would BU give Miller a spot? Lou certainly would not even have entertained the thought in NOV. and few coaches would. Let Miller gain confidence and feel he has earned the respect of his teammates. Too much experienced talent for a frosh to get a starting spot on this team. But if they earn it and the chemistry proves out...they should get the nod. You gotta show me...and there is plenty of time and opportunity for that.

If memory serves, Lou Henson started Derek Harper from day one as a true freshmen. I think that goes for Bruce Douglas and Efrem Winters, too.

I think the team was definitely better when Ayo played off the ball.

While Ayo, Frazier, Miller, DMW, and Kofi will likely be the starters to begin the season. Against top 20 teams DMW will have an issue against good 4s with size. Two years ago that was a huge issue but Kofi helped out last year a ton assisting behind DMW when he was undersized. I hope someone can step into that role at the 4 against top tier teams so Kofi wint be out of position to rebound or defend his man like he was when helping out an undersized DMW land others attempting to guard good 4s ke It cost us wins a few times late in games last year. backs were he otherwise would have he would have grabbed the board or blocked out. Coming into last year there was a reason we wanted a 4 and a 5 so badly. We still need someone to actually step up and have the size and strength to play that slot vs top tier teams. DMW gets so much out of his 6'3" frame and long arms but he is still very dependent on Kofi were hopefully BBV or Gandison or someone else taller or bigger stronger that would need less help 4 that is an outside threat would be great. Hopefully someone will step into that role this year.

Just wondering how competitive a scrimmage with the starting five that is most popular of Ayo, Trent, Adam, DaMonte, and Kofi (4 of 5 gone in 2021) would be against Belo, Hutch, Grandison, BBV, and Giorgi ( likely starting lineup for 2021 less Adam and possibly Mac). If we have the depth we think we have it should be competitive by season end.
