Roster shows weight gains of Ayo +15, Giorgi +10, DaMonte, Hutch, and Grandison +5. BU had said Hutch and Grandison had gained 20#’s. Never know how much to believe the listed stats in either height or weight.

... and the Kennys Norman & Battle. With Eddie, that's what gets my blood going when I see that "33" in orange.

#33 is the number worn by the most Illini. Hawkins will make 22 players having worn the number. Most recently, Mike Thorne, jr.

Every D1 school playing in the NCAA Tournament is a horrible idea. Better than nothing I guess:shakehands:

I would take it over nothing, but I really don't get why this would even be on the table.

ACC is doing this because the NCAA is looking at only a 32 team tournament with conference champions only invited.

With 32 conferences, they will be lucky to get 12 decent teams in the field (one that would make the at large field). Of the 67 games normally played, the NCAA is opting to keep the worst 20, and another 11. They won't even be the best 11. What a pile of crap. I hope they don't expect any real TV money or a significant fan following for this event.

If they want to reduce risk, take more teams from the same conferences. They have already interacted. An NCAA tournament of the top 32 at large teams would be solid. The other 20-24 conference champions can play in the NIT (top 4-8 get a bye).

It seems like it would be pretty easy to reduce the number of sites and bubbles they'd need to play a normal tournament. Instead of playing three weekends, boil it down to two longer sessions. Ditch the First Four, then have eight sites play the first three rounds and replace the Final Four with a single bubble for the Elite Eight. It'll be a pain trying to find nine bubble sites, but keeping them to eight teams each should expand the range of options. Plus, we put a man on the moon and so on...

Source? That sounds monumentally stupid. A single team from each of the power 5 is not a recipe for interest in the tourney or making money. Makes zero sense.

I can't even describe how dumb that would be. A complete farce.....ridiculous. I would refuse to watch, unless the Illini won the conference.
