Been any discussion on the Emerald Classic lately? I see ESPN is reporting today that 8 tourneys are projected to move to Orlando.

Perhaps I missed something, but it seems like the Emerald is still a go.

Not happening from what I understand, potentially. There’s a lot of shifting going on right now with scheduling and teams backing out of non-conference tournaments for more favorable ones.

Because we’re a top 10 preseason team with star power on our squad this could benefit us as a potentially attractive option for other top teams who my look to host or line up other tournaments elsewhere...

That's a real bummer. My nephew moved to Tampa area a few years ago and we were really looking forward to watching this together while he was home to visit. I was going to test his new allegiance to the Florida Gators. In actuality, he is still an Illini Basketball fan....but done with Illini football.

I’m guessing we will be on the road. Looks like Duke,Virginia,or Florida State.

"Sources: The ACC/Big Ten Challenges is moving forward..."
Thank you, Sources!

With our experience and depth, I think we can handle a road game better than most years. I don't think there's anyone in the COUNTRY we need to be afraid of --should compete with anyone they have.

I fixed that for you, Calvin.

Bring on Duke on the road! Unless things drastically change, Cameron will not be rocking!

I can't remember what year it was but didn't we win at Duke one year breaking a really long home win streak of theirs?

Rather eye catching for recruits to read Illini highly ranked. Kudo's to Coaches, Ayo for helping start the ball rolling, Trent for stabilizing, Giorgi for ...well Giorgi...Kofi for continuing the train rolling and Luke Goode for helping stoke the coals of the future. And all the hard working young men who proudly wear the Illini uniform and play their hearts out for us fans...I...L...L... come on down and join us recruits... I...N...I...

My recollection is that it was a 95 game non-conference home winning streak that we snapped at Cameron. Led by J. Gee.

I get that, but how does the 11th ranked player not make one of 3 All American teams???

The same way that Kofi at 22 made the 3rd team. Each team has exactly one person in each position. Ayo missing means that they believe that 3 of the top 10 players are better PGs than Ayo.
