IllinoisLoyalty Message Board Rules

1) Mission
The IllinoisLoyalty Message Board is an online community focused on the respectful discussion of Illini athletics.

2) Posting privileges
Your posting privileges can be revoked at anytime without notice. Although the administrators and moderators of IllinoisLoyalty.com will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and the owners of IllinoisLoyalty.com will not be held responsible for the content of any message. By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violate any laws. The owners and moderators of IllinoisLoyalty.com reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any post or thread for any reason.

3) Personal attacks, hostilities, aggression, cursing
Personal attacks/hostilities/aggression towards other forum members are not permitted.

Cursing is not permitted.

4) Use the correct forum
If you are looking for tickets, or have tickets available, post in the Tickets forum. Refrain from making ticket posts (or making reference to your ticket forum listings) anywhere else on the board. Please read the ticket forum rules before posting in the Ticket forum.

Non-buying and non-selling ticket discussion belongs in the respective sports forums (such as: on sale dates, seat locations, attendance, the general ticket market of certain events, etc).

Posts about the professional athletic careers of former Illini players and the Illinois Women's Basketball team belong in the Sports Talk forum. Posts about Chief Illiniwek belong in the Sports Talk forum.

5) Stay on topic, avoid repetition, limit replies
When responding to a thread, keep the discussion on topic. If you have a point to make in a thread, refrain from repeating the point over and over again. When replying to a post, trim out any unnecessary text from the quote. Most of the time it is not necessary to include the entire quote when replying.

6) External articles
When discussing or quoting an external article, include the article url if it is available online.

Refrain from quoting external premium content onto the forum. Premium content is external online content which requires a membership fee to view. (For example, Rivals and Scout have premium sports content services.)

Refrain from asking about or sharing the contents of premium content.

It is okay to quote selected excerpts from an external non-premium article, but refrain from copying the entire article text into a post.

7) Personal info
Remember this is a public forum, as such it is suggested that members steer clear of providing detailed personal info about yourself when posting. Additionally, refrain from posting personal info about other people.

8) Report a problem
If you have a problem or issue with a specific post or anything else in the forum, report that post or send a message thru the Contact Us link.
