Illinois vs Nebraska in Dublin, Ireland (Aug. 28th, 2021)

Well yeah, if someone has to play the loveable punching bag for all eternity, why not us? Maybe the endgame here is if we get people to feel sorry enough for us they'll just let us claim National Championshops on their behalf.

There's no way Calhoun leaves AFA. Judging by his coaching records there was multiple times when he was an attractive candidate and likely got offers but passed. Clark Lea is interesting. ND defense is solid but there's not much out there about him from a coaching history perspective

So we've gone from mediocre with MAC level recruits to bad with B1G recruits. Wow, that's depressing.

Not that I don't agree, but the game against Nebraska was closer tha 2018 and we clawed to within 3 of Michigan. There has been *some* improvement, but for me it's the lack of being able to.simply function as a team in all 3 phases of the game. The talent is there, the signs are sometimes...

I think a lot of it depends on the expectations of the job. I still think Whitman sees Lovie as the long term answer. Obviously that's probably not true, but we wouldn't know until the announcement of a change. I don't know what his track record with coaching hires looks like. Is he in...

I've come around a bit on this game. I still think it's weird, but can you imagine if we somehow win? I know it'll be a long shot but it would be amazing.

My sarcasm didn't translate well via text. It's just a weird move given the coaching uncertainty.

Does the Dublin game mean there won't be a coaching change anytime soon?

To be fair 63-0 will live forever in my mind.

Hey Football, stop sending my teams to Europe, they don't do well.

To quote the great Dr Ian Malcom. "Yeah, yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, that they didn't stop to think if they should."

"We'll translate this talent to wins." is starting to sound a lot like: "Free beer tomorrow."

It's really not that different from our running concepts we used to great success last year. It's not even that different from the offense we ran with Juice. It looks different, yes, but the concepts are not that different. My complaint has and continues to be that we've never had a complete...

There's some great videos with Paul Johnson talking about how the Option Offense is really not that much different than the traditional I Form power run formations with the most noticeable difference being the Fullback/B Back getting the most of the work load with the A Backs being the window...
