As inconsistent as the offense is, this season is tanked with BAD defense. If we has last year's D we would likely be 3-2 and looking up, at worst looking toward 7-5 with the games remaining. This is back to the Zook/Lovey days of giving up 30+ per game against D1.

I would say 50-50. It looks like the best we can hope for is 4-8 after this game.

Nope (as in nobody else). Zuppke's last 6 seasons were 17-27. Moeller (6-24-3), Valek (8-32), and Beckman (16-28) never made 50 games.

This is exactly what Moeller did in his short tenure. Played the guys he recruited, passed over better players to develop the young guys. Many of those players left by year two. History repeats itself. I firmly believe that if you are a good coach, you can make/coach the players you inherent...
