I still feel you can't count out Mike Sherman for that OC position. His name along with Tedford keeps popping up

the name I keep hearing for the OC position is Mike Sherman. Former Packers head coach and Texas A&M. Known as a pretty good offensive mind. Has been coaching in HS in Massachusetts.

you gotta think he already has someone in mind for the position. Either someone he knows or someone who contacted him after he was hired saying he'd be interested (backroom talks?)

but Chun, Tilley, and George are much better candidates than Whitman...who should PROBABLY spend a year or two as an Associate AD at a D1 school (it's a different thing than D2)...and everything i've heard is leading me to believe teh board and the hiring firm kept pushing the carot further and...

my only concern...people fell so in love because he's an "Illinois guy". But if he'd of gone to any other school....the fanbase would be up in arms. We should be wanting the RIGHT guy....not an Illinois guy. Couple other people I have spoken to feel this exact same way.
