It amazes me how many people on here believe early college numbers dictate how a player will always be. Especially those that believe in the coaching staff and Fletch's ability to develop. Many thought Domask was going to be just a role player.
Avila and Kent are HS friends. One of the reasons Kent left Bradley to play with Avila. Kent had a huge progression year this year. Looked weak at Bradley with an inconsiderate shot, and then did less last year at ISU. Really impressed with his growth. Wouldn't be surprised to see him follow Avila.
I totally agree with this. It'll be interesting in 5 years and go back and see what % of the top 100 spent 2+ years at their original school. Kids don't want to develop, nor do they want to wait their turn. Just go get guys every year.
I had heard that this was a real possibility from someone that knows him through AAU ball. I was hoping it would not happen since there had been no word.
I agree with this wholeheartedly, successful teams require players to give up their own stats and play roles. This team was best when the focus was on maximizing roles.
Part of the issue last night was that Kofi had no room to operate. GB's defender didn't even bother with him when he wasn't in the post. I think it is clear they don't fit well together on the court. Start AG for GB, and bring GB off the bench at the 5. Run a 4 around 1 to open up some space.
I really hope they don't have to rely much on ADLR. He looks like an old man trying to keep up with kids out there. I didn't see him play previous to this year, but that knee is just too much it looks like. Hopefully, SK gets some minutes over him. Need to find a way to stop Garza without GB...
