If he did, I would be sad, but understand. This guy gave blood sweat and tears to us for 4 years. Sometimes guys want a little taste of a different environment before moving on.
In short, he owes us (fans) nothing more.
I think within 5 years we get to a more regimented “contracts” for NIL, like you’d get this much per year for 3 years and this much when you finish the contract, something like that.
Right now it’s functioning as if NBA free agency had only single year contract guarantees with no severance...
I think he really hasn’t done enough at Minnesota to earn anything else but last. It’s hard to compare all these coaches because more experience usually means higher on the list.
Maybe break it into < 10 years coaching and > 10 years coaching.
