Yes, a loss was predictable, but this Illinois team can play so well, and had the potential to beat a team as good as Houston. But we didn't do the things needed to win. Too many turnovers, didn't block out well defensively so got badly outrebounded, and didn't shoot consistently well either...

Really? I know a lot of fans love Cubelo but when I see 6 turnovers, 4 assists, 1 of 7 shooting. His defense was that good? He is our key guy out there? I need someone to explain it since the stats don't show it to me.

Well, the other potential outcome is we play like its just another conference game and pick up 20 fouls in the first half, and most of our starters are sent to the bench. It is definitely being called a lot differently on yesterday's games, so adjustments badly needed.

I watched a lot of games yesterday. Referees are calling fouls so much tighter than BIG conference play. Hope our players are ready for the adjustment and this actually should help Kofi down low. Also benefits guards driving to the hoop, since many were uncontested in games I watched.
