Today is the deadline for players to withdraw from the NBA Draft and return to school.
Notables confirmed staying in:
Iowa - Tyler Cook
Indiana - Romeo Langford
Maryland - Bruno Fernando
Michigan - Charles Matthews, Jordan Poole, Ignas Brazdeikis
Minnesota - Amir Coffey
Missouri - Jontay...
Clearly the lesson here is to move your family home to within 100 miles of a FBS level school if you want to take a shot at a big time program, that way you have the option to transfer home later with no waiting!
Not quite, it's actually 7 players from Indiana schools.
4 from IU (Romeo Langford, Al Durham, Justin Smith, Devonte Green) 1 from Purdue (Carsen Edwards), 1 from Notre Dame (TJ Gibbs), 1 from Valpo (Derrik Smits)
Anthony Cowan and Bruno Fernando declare for the draft. Fernando expected to stay in, Cowan likely to return for senior season, using the evaluation process for feedback.
Today is also the deadline to request evaluation from NBA Undergraduate Advisory Committee, which then allows you to hire an agent under the new agent rule as discussed above. I don't know if these evaluation requests are typically made public, but I would expect to see a decent amount of names...
That was the team I grew up with. Robinson, Traylor, Washington, and Daniels on the Line. Rosie, Urlacher and Holdman at LB, Azumah and McQuarters on the outside with Brown and Parrish I think? as the safeties.
Plus Paul Edinger and his weird FG run ups.
He tested the waters last year, came back to try and improve his stock. I don't think it went up or down too much, but he probably really can't improve it much more with another season. Kinda similar to Leron last year for us in that regard (no idea if he's graduated yet though)
I've found this list more comprehensive, Yahoo seems to be missing some guys.
B1G early entrants so far that I can see:
Romeo Langford, IU
Carsen Edwards, Purdue
Amir Coffey, Minnesota
Tyler Cook, Iowa
Light research shows that Coffey, and Cook appear to be hiring agents as well.
