    2019-20 Coaching Discussion/Carousel

With Ford and Barker next year, we'll actually have solid talent at TE. Whoever the OC is next year, hopefully then can use the TEs as pass catchers quite often. Seems like a lot of college offenses use TEs solely as blockers and not a combination of blocking/receiving.

Hopefully he's just keeping up appearances..there's no way he ACTUALLY believes this...

Illinois vs Nebraska in Dublin, Ireland (Aug. 28th, 2021)

LOL this. with our luck and administrative history, our entire OLine will probably be stopped at the airport. Also have to think about how jetlag can affect the team the following week.

Makes you think about how bad Rutgers really must be.

    2019-20 Coaching Discussion/Carousel

Lawyers of IL, any chance the taxpayers of Illinois can go after Whitman, Lovie, and Miles for what is clearly a case of nepotism involving the transfer of funds from taxpayers to an incompetent coach and his unqualified son? Any chance of this? At least voiding his remaining guaranteed salary...

    Nebraska 42, Illinois 38 POSTGAME

Yup. I'm already checked out after this. Somebody call me if they win a few games. After decades of suffering as an Illini fan, Lovie has destroyed my spirit. I'm out.

    Week 4 Games

The EMU and UConn games today should tell us all we need to know about our teams performance so far. We might be Rutgers bad.

Didn't Cumby have a nice one against Akron? or was that a screen, can't quite remember. Whatever it was, he was fast and it worked. Haven't seen him since.

I still don't understand why they haven't put IW at least a few plays. Enough to have it on tape so that other teams at least have to prepare for it. They're worried about burning a RS year, but the way this season is going nobody is going to be around 4 years from now. Opposing teams always...

Eastern Michigan 34, Illinois 31 POSTGAME

Burn it down. Bring in a staff who has learned new concepts this century. Game passed Lovie by a decade ago.

Also there is no reason IWill hasn't at least seen a few plays a game so that teams have to prepare for it. They're worried about burning a redshirt so he'll be around 4 years from now? No one from this staff will be here that's for sure.

It has become increasingly clear that the sport of football has passed Lovie Smith by. Clean house.
