If the game were in the afternoon, I'd absolutely be there with my family and enjoying a nice day of tailgating and football. An 11am game isn't attractive. It's too early. I know I could tailgate after the game, but for whatever reason that seems backwards to me.
Literally, all 34 writers picked us last. Ouch. I don't think even our most pessimistic posters are that pessimistic. Won't take much to beat expectations.
What have we done as Illini fans to deserve this. I actually planned to watch MSU and scUM today to avoid the misery of watching us get blown out. Then there is a weather delay and live look in on the Illinois game. SMH.
I'm all for this as I love the downtown area of Champaign and this will ensure it continues to flourish and grow. I'm guessing in addition to hockey it will be used for concerts and events. This seems to put it in competition with the State Farm Center. So in that aspect it's a bit surprising...

It’s most plausible that we are waiting to see how coaching spots in the NFL come together. Lovie probably has offered an OC who is waiting to see if he gets an NFL job before he accepts. I’m not too worried. I trust Lovie.

You can make arguments for Groce and against Groce easy enough. I haven't seen very many ridiculous points made here. But even if you are for Groce how does he stay around with this much negative momentum? Sometimes guys just catch bad breaks which Groce certainly has with injuries and...
This is just awful. I will say that I appreciate how these student athletes and parents have handled this. If Simon C. had taken the same approach, we may have taken his claims more seriously. Let's hope the University does the right thing in both cases and gets to the facts and hold all...
