I'm bored so lets play would you rather....
Option 1: Get to 6 wins but no big upsets.
Option 2: 5 wins but put the beat down on Michigan similar to how Purdue did Ohio St last season.
IMO Lovie could sell either of those seasons to future recruits.
It doesn’t make much sense to compare him to Giorgi. 2 completely different players. We should be comparing him to Samba. If Kouma or Samba can give us a solid 15 mpg without hurting the team then we become a lot more versatile.
Seems like the baseball gods are telling us to go on a hot streak. Got swept by the Cubs the beginning of May and had a terrible month. Now we sweep the Cubs at the beginning of June. Has to be a great month ahead right?
They messed up.....BAD. Maybe the atmosphere was better live, but on tv it sounded like a friendly. I did enjoy the wider camera angle though. Got to watch more off the ball movement. A unique experience from most premier league games.
Anyone watching the u20 World Cup? The USA played some really good soccer today against Nigeria. 60% possession. Composed with the ball. Played well out of the back. The midfield trio was connected and dominated with a true and fluid 6, 8, and 10. It was great to see.
They play Qatar on...
The 4th goal was nuts. I've seen teams try a quick corner before, but that's the first time I've ever seen it actually work. I don't think Origi was even looking when Alexander-Arnold kicked it. Amazing.
I saw an interesting tweet tonight. There are only 16 teams that don't play an FCS team this season
Is there a reason that 11 of those 16 are B1G teams? And not a single ACC or SEC school. I thought it was kind of weird.
Also have a feeling the Spurs Ajax game will be an instant classic. Should be intense. I wish Liverpool could've kept it a little closer at Camp Nou. Not much to look forward to in that 2nd leg. But who knows, the impossible could become possible with an early goal.
The Europa league just got a whole lot more important for Arsenal. A Chelsea Arsenal final would be great. I would love to see Chelsea deny Arsenal the Champions League after Arsenal clinched it for them today.
Kipper is a mismatch nightmare when he’s confident. He can bully smaller players. He can take bigger players off the dribble. In the high post he can face up and shoot, drive, or use the spin move. He can pick and pop or pick and roll. And he’s one of the better athletes in the team which helps...
PF, wing, and rim defense were our weakest points last year. And we lost our best wing. It’s a no brainer to try and get another. Of course we hope AG and TJ lock that spot down, but BU would be silly to rely on that.
That’s the highest on the team. Also took the most shots on the team.
Seems like this is turning into a blessing in disguise. Many players have publicly supported BU, and it’s not just guys who got 20+ mpg. This should bring the team even closer together and make them even more focused on getting better.
The braggin rights game could get very interesting next year.
This article is from about a year ago. At that time OSU, Minnesota, Maryland, and Purdue were the only B1G schools. A few posters seem to think this move was...
Egwu also had to play behind a lottery pick. Leonard played 32 mpg that season.
Giorgi was awesome, but only played 26 mpg due to foul trouble. Adonis was arguably the worst big man in the conference. If Samba can't get playing time this season then I find it very hard to see him getting...
I’d rather have guys that can play. It would be great if Samba, Tev, and AG all developed well and turned into big time players. But there is no guarantee of that. We need talent and it shouldn’t matter where that talent comes from.
Tejon and Finke announced their transfers on March 26th according to this. https://www.daytondailynews.com/sports/college/illinois-basketball-guard-jon-lucas-announces-transfer-from-program/gv58xLCGsiwsOFQV2VQ81M/
He had zero high major offers. Some kids just work that butt off and get better. He has a smooth stroke and gets it off pretty quick. Looks kinda like Duncan Robinson from Michigan. Yes, I probably only made that connection because they're both white lol.
Not fair at all. We just need to see significant improvement. Need to be on the bubble but if we miss the tourney by a game or 2 that's good enough. Don't forget we lose almost nobody after next season too.
17/18 - Garbage year. Roster blown up at end of season.
18/19 - Year 2 but basically...
This should be the first season where we can seriously evaluate BU. Experience in the system from every position and a rim protector coming in. I have very serious doubts that this defense scheme can ever work consistently in the B1G. That's what I'm looking forward to seeing the most.
