I could switch one or two, but this is in line with my thinking.

At best 21-10 and NCAA bubble once again. At worst 18-13 and solid NIT. Would love to be pleasantly surprised and finish 23-8, but right now just can't see it.

3 games is not much for a best or worse. My range would be from 25 -14 wins. I don t expect either, but possible.

He's averaged a tad over 7 ppg for his career and shoots the ball efficiently, plus he'll likely get more run with his experience and our lack of bigs. Double digits doesn't seem outlandish to me.

Also think we'll score a lot.

Also also am knee deep in some glorious Orange Kool-Aid.

18-13 / 7-11. Very pessimistic forecast on my part and I really hope they do better as they start to gel in the second half of the conference season. Quite honestly, the B1G looks to have some really good teams this year and it won't surprise me to see Wisconsin and scUM in the top 15 for multiple weeks and a couple of others to be in an out here and there. I also don't see the conference schedule as advantageous for us. I only see a couple of gimme away games at Nebby and Rutgers. Everything else is going to be a battle.

The good news is that I don't see a Groce-esque 0-for-January this year, which should keep confidence up and keep the boys in tight games--and I think there will be a LOT of tight games as they go on.

FWIW, Kenpom has a projection of 15-16 / 5-13 right now.

Interesting. I don't think his opening projections are as good as the wisdom of the herd (AP poll), given how hard it is to project the impact of 5 star freshmen. He's guessing they are 4 pts worse than Villanova, which is his guess at #1.

Regarding Illinois, that 5-13 doesn't seem that far-fetched if we were coached by Groce (although to be fair, KenPom would project us a little higher if we kept Tilmon).

I'm around here too. I can't believe so many think this is a tournament team right now. That is putting a ton of faith in Alstork. He'll need to be better than Ray Rice for us to pull it off. I'm hopeful, though!

I'm pretty sure most of the faith is being put in BU than any given player, but I do think Alstork will be good for us.

I'm concerned this team will struggle a good bit to shake their complacency in losing...hopefully they get better towards the end and we see improvement through the year. We have some decent talent, but nothing exceptional, and a whole new system to learn.

26-5 with losses @MiSt, @Minn, @ Mich, Mizznoz, and @ Wisc. Somehow the NCAA, must be an academic issue, does not put us in the tourney and the NIT not realizing the mistake does not offer an invite either. That would be the ultimate nut punch.
