31-0, #1 seed lose in first round to #16 seed UMBC

My real answer: losses are Georgetown, 'Zona/ISU, Notre Dame, tOSU, UNLV, Indiana, scUM, Wiscy, Sparty, tOSU again, Wiscy again, and Purdue. We go 19-12 and get a middling seed in the NIT.

13-18 (6-14) Realistic

20-11 (11-9) Optimistic

Our nonconference schedule is brutal, only 4 true cupcakes. I think we pull 3 more wins somewhere out of UNLV, 3 Maui games, Mizzou, ND, Georgetown.

B1G is full of teams with experience, and of course the Michigan teams will be a challenge. Wild cards are OSU,Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota. They all have some talent that should put them in the top half of the league, but will it finally come together? I can't imagine a world where NW is better than us this year. I'll need to see this team shoot in the top quarter of the league before I ever think we will sniff the top half of the league, we wont have the defense to say otherwise.

One thing you can't deny about this schedule, it's one of the hardest we've seen in almost a decade. 2 more B1G games and a stack Maui game will do that.

Non-Con - 9-2
B1G - 12-8

I feel Trent in second year is gonna be First Team All B1G caliber. Kipper is gonna be consistent and provide 14p 7rb. DW gonna make a big leap. Ayo gonna be the glue. I will drink Koolaid by the gallon, thank you, but it's time for a year that over-achieves.

14-17, no postseason,

when you do your predictions - start from the bottom of the schedule up, you'll come up with more realistic outcome

I've got us at 5-8 non-con, 5-15 B1G, 0-1 BTT, for 10-24 total. A program record for losses, but perhaps a mild improvement Kenpom-wise because of our really tough schedule.

If somehow, some way Kane, De La Rosa and Giorgi can combine to really surprise and provide quality defense, rebounding, and finishing around the rim, there's a bunch of upside to my prediction, we could be genuinely pretty good.

If Kane or De La Rosa or god forbid both misses a bunch of time, there could be very ugly downside.

Regardless, there are going to be some (non-senior) players who do some nice things for us. Everything hinges on ALL of those players returning for 2019-20. The losing isn't over, but the roster chaos has to be.

I count 4 likely wins. There's a bunch of toss-ups, and an ugly number of tough games. I'll have to get back to you after some kool-aid.

Looks like I've got us 7-6 non-con and 6-12 B1G.

That's 13-18 overall. Not good, Bob. A little worse than last year, but certainly a more brutal schedule. It's not going to make recruiting any easier.

That takes us to:

6-7 Non Conf
4-14 Big Ten
10-21 Overall

:(

I hope I'm very wrong!

A dartboard would be more accurate at this point. If De La Rosa is healthy or Kane learns quickly this could be a very good team. The other 4 positions are solid IMO and may be very good with depth. I do think it will come down to coaching and the big development. In defense of BU he hired recruiters at the beginning unlike JG who brought his assts with him. May have caused him short term problems in teaching his system but more long term results. Way to early to evaluate him or his recruiting.

I will be laying money on u16 if available.

14-17. We won't take one in Maui.

B10 tourney win over Minny, then loss to Michigan (as is now traditional)

9-22 no post season play. Followed by another total roster turnover. Uninspiring recruiting class of 2019. Underwood on hot seat in 2019. Fired in March 2020.
