3/7 Games

C'mon, Wichita State! A bid theft would be very damaging to our hypothetical tourney chances.

central illinois
How in the world is Indiana not being mentioned as a bubble team. Lost there last 3 last 11 games are 4-7. The heck with Illinois and Purdue on the bubble to me the lost today puts them out.

SC has always downplayed last ten or whose hot so you have to imagine it's pretty irrelevant when they did their winning.

BYU losing tonight would really help to.

Yep, that would actually be great, it's their tournament, so no room to make up that loss. Santa Clara played well last night, but LMU is terrible. But Santa Clara gained some confidence.

No but LSU probably wasn't going to drop out with a loss to #18 Arkansas anyways. aTm losing was big for us. Pitts out now too.
They were not going to drop out with a loss, but they improved their chances beating a ranked team (#18), away nevertheless. That was a quality win.

So aren't we saying the same thing? The only thing that benefits us is teams falling out. We are saying the same thing.

Don't believe we are saying the same thing. I do not agree with the bolded. It also benefits us greatly NOT to have other bubble teams register quality unexpected wins.

LSU wasn't really on the bubble anyways though. A loss here and then a first round loss in the SEC tourney maybe.

Belmont upset Murray State for the OVC title and an auto bid. Assume that's one less spot available for the bubble teams? Murray State had won 27 games in a row, so assuming they'll easily get in.

They got no chance of getting in.

They were a solid 10 or 11 seed. A loss to the #18 team wouldn't have affected that.
LSU was a bubble team in both Lunardi, Palm and other brackets.

Again, there are two elements on bubble teams. You want other bubble team to have bad losses (in addition to losses in general) AND you do not want other bubble teams to register good wins, especially unexpected quality wins.

It's not that difficult...

You think if we beat Wisconsin, it would not matter to other bubble teams, because a loss would not necessarily knock us out? C'mon.

That was a good entertaining game to watch.

Agree with Doorman; Murray St. has a worse RPI than Illinois and a horrid SOS, so they shouldn't get an at-large.

Comparing our situation when beating Wisconsin to LSU's situation when beating Arkansas are so striking different that it's not even funny. LSU was well on the right side of the bubble. Many think we HAVE to beat Wisky to get in. Huge difference.

Either way, I guess we just agree to disagree.
