My opinion is through fighting Illini. Com... considerably cheaper than stub hub, but you have to jump on it! Stub hub buys a ton and raises prices.
Any frequent Big 10 Tourney attendees out there who can advise best way to purchase tickets for Thursday thru Sunday in Indy? I'd like to have access to every game and then attend when my schedule permits. I'm assuming there is nothing better than Stub Hub. Lower bowl/section preferred.

Thanks!

I will take any seed between 2-4. I personally feel if we keep our heads and go to Ohio st. and win, we'll be a 2 seed. I've looked at all remaining schedules. We have a great schedule, Wisconsin, and even Michigan. But the other's Penn st., Michigan state, Rutgers cant win a road game, and even Iowa tough schedules. For some reason I do not fear Iowa on our court nor neutral!!!! We're tougher this year.

Gotta say I have had a ton a great success scalping in Indy. Great tickets and good prices especially is MSU loses early because they travel well.

If we take care of business we will be sitting on a Friday game. Haven't been on a Friday opening game in many years.
2011 was the last time. Lost to Michigan 60-55 in our first game that year but still ended up making the the tournament as a 9 seed defeating UNLV before losing to Kansas.

The last time Illinois had a Friday opener and won was in 2010 when they defeated Wisconsin 58-54 before losing in double OT to eventual conference tournament champion Ohio State in the semifinals. That Illinois team ended up going to the NIT.

At the time, that Wisky win felt to me like it would get us over the hump into the NCAAs, but bad stuff happened around the country and we barely missed pulling off the OSU upset. We ended up as a #1 seed in the NIT, but went on the road to Stony Brook because Cirque du Soleil was booked into Assembly Hall. Stony Brook was coached by now-Rutgers HC Steve Pikiell.

That is just incredible. I never would have guessed it was that bad.
Especially when you consider up to that time we were one of the most successful B1G Tournament team.

This happens when poor choices are made from the President of the University down. But, no matter, back on the right track.

I think our chances are the best. And, therefore we go 5-0. 14-6, 2nd place

I think WI goes into MI and comes out with a L. 3-1, 13-7

If we go 5-0, IA has at least one more L. They collect one more L at MSU. 2-2, 12-8

PSU: 13-7

MSU:13-7 (could go 12-8)

RU fades: 11-9

There are a lot of scenarios where 4-1 gets us second as well. PSU, MSU & Iowa all have tough schedules.

Not so sure I can trust your prognostication skills, Bombay. Weren't you predicting that we would go 18-2 in the conference earlier this year?

It is still wide open to this day. If OSU beats Md tonight it will tighten up more. We have to win Mon. What we are starting to see is the teams like Mi, Osu, and Ind coming closer to the top and teams like Pu, PSU, and Ru starting to fall. That leave us with some tough games ahead. We beat Nb and Nw. The IU and OSU games will be tough. That leaves the last game with Ia for us to win. The toughest game will be the OSU game on their court. No way to tell how it will shake out. Mn put a whoopin on NW. Looks like NW has kind of sacked it in. I hope for the double by for the BT tourney. Go Illini put the hammer down on the last five games.

I wonder if there is any discussion of using something other than conference record and tie breakers for seeding in the future. Maybe less likely with the 20 game schedule, but it is still an unbalanced schedule. Just curious.

Don't blame you.

I cannot recall the 18-2, but do recall 25-6ish. I thought, then, that we would get a L vs AZ and win the rest non-B10.

However, where I did fail, miserably, is the past 5 games. I predicted we would go 4-1 (L @IA). But, ...........it is 1-4.

Will we go 5-0? I hope so.

What I can say is that it is our O that is a potential problem (outside of @RU). If we do very well on O (PU) then we go 5-0, with an ave O, then 4-1/3-2? Our D is pretty consistent (RU seems to be the only recent anomaly).

I am of the opinion that we will go 2-1 or 0-1 in B10 Tourney. All depends on our O. IMHO.

Northeast Iowa
The way I see it is that we MUST win at least 4 of our last 5 to get the BTT double-bye. A 3-2 finish leaves us at 12-8, which is where I predict Iowa, MSU, and Wiscy will all finish (Maryland 14-6 and Penn St 13-7). Our .400 combined head-to-head record against that tiebreaker group (assuming a W vs. Iowa) will not be enough for 2nd best. MSU and Iowa will both have a .500 or better record against the group, earning them the 3 and 4 seeds. However, if we finish 13-7, a head-to-head tiebreaker with Penn St gives us the 2 seed. Who woulda thought.

My predictions could end up being way off, but this is how I see it unfolding as of now. Avoid the 12-8 cluster at all costs. Let's just go 5-0 and leave no doubt.
