Coaching Carousel

If it's Sampson the NCAA ought to open a field office halfway between Alabama and Auburn
Have friends in AL that are big Bama fans. Asked them last year about Auburn and Pearl. 1, they were not even aware of his dubious past. 2, said Auburn fans were loving Pearl. Bottom line, I don’t think Sampson’s past is even a passing concern. They feel as untouchable by the NCAA as North Carolina or Duke.

Like Pearl his NCAA problems are a resume enhancement in the SEC

Some of us have a tendency to get the plate snatched away from us ;)

Anyway, I definitely liked Drew at the time, and the scuttlebutt was that Whitman did too. For it to go that wrong that fast with that kind of talent suggests there might be more to the story behind the scenes, IMO.

It seems like more P5 coaches were fired this year than last year.

I wonder who will be next?

I would not be surprised if Cellvin winds up at Arkansas.

Sounds a lot like Hoiberg is close to a done deal at this point. We will see
I thought Hoiberg hated recruiting, which is why he took the Bulls job.

I like Miles, I doubt he will be on the market for long if he wants to take another coaching job. May not be at a P5 level, but i bet that he would thrive at a mid major level and get another P5 job in the future.

University of San Francisco head coach Kyle Smith expected to be named the next head coach at Washington State.

And Iowa State head coach Steve Prohm likely isn't heading to Alabama as he just signed an extension that will keep him in Ames through 2025.
