English Premier League 2018-2019

you should be happy with a 2-0 win over chelsea! spurs, arsenal, and united fans all thank you!

I was. The Toffees have looked pretty good against top 6 teams the last couple times they've played them (I know Man City fans were thanking us for the scoreless draw at home against those other guys from Merseyside who wear red for some reason). Their problem has been against teams outside that area of that table. Will be interesting to see how they play following the international break this week when they travel to London to take on West Ham.

Refs gifted Chelsea 3 points today. VAR can't get here soon enough. However, it shouldn't be required to see that the goal scorer was 2 yards offside.

That AR shouldn't get another PL game in a long, long time. Shades of the non-PI call the Rams were gifted with.

We now have two teams that have officially been relegated in the past few days. On Saturday, Huddersfield Town lost to Crystal Palace 2:0, becoming the first team since Derby County in 2007-2008 to be relegated before the end of March. Fulham lost 4:1 today at Watford and are the second team to clinch relegation this season.

Everton defeat Arsenal 1:0 on a goal in the 10th minute by Phil Jagielka. Jagielka was not even set to start the game as Michael Keene was supposed to but was unable to play due to illness. 2nd positive result for the Toffees against a top 6 side in recent weeks. This results also puts a bit of a dent in the Gunners' chances of a top 4 finish. Arsenal is also the only Premier League side not to have a clean sheet away from home this season.

Toffees return to action Saturday at already relegated Fulham.

Goal shouldn't have counted. Offside & illegal throw in. Arghhhh!

Arsenal midfield poor yesterday. Xhaka was missed. so was Torreira for defence.

Goal should not have counted but I have seen only one foul throw-in actually called all season, in all games.

Everton loses at Craven Cottage today to Fulham 0:2. Poor showing from the Toffees as they had only one shot on goal the entire match. Scores like this have become too much of the norm this season as they seem to play to the level of their competition, winning or even getting a draw at home against top 6 sides and then losing the next match away against an inferior side.

Everton returns to action next Sunday at home vs. Manchester United.

Everton pummeled Manchester United at home today 4:0. Goals by Richarlison (on a bicycle kick) and Sigurdsson in the 1st half and goals by Lucas Digne (whose goal was quite a beautiful finish) and Theo Walcott in the 2nd half. Easily the best performance for the Toffees with Marco Silva as the manager. This loss likely hurts Manchester United's chances for making the top 4 and being in the Champions League next season as they have the Manchester derby and a match against Chelsea in the upcoming week. It has to be up there as one of the worst losses for Manchester United in the post-Sir Alex era.

Everton returns to action Saturday at Crystal Palace.

looks like no one wants to finish in the top four. spurs, arsenal, united all do their best to lose and chelsea yields to a draw.
