Also, its worth noting that the Gold Cup has adopted the end game rules used by last summer's Copa America Centenario, mainly that the knockout stage matches that are level after 90 minutes will go straight to penalties, with the exception of the Final, which will play the additional 30 minutes with a 4th available substitution. On a separate note, CONCACAF has suspended two El Salvador players for their actions Wednesday night vs. the US. Henry Romero, who bit Altidore as well as twisting his nipple, was suspended six matches. Darwin Ceren, who bit Omar Gonzalez, has been suspended three matches. These suspensions are from "official matches" which means that the players would miss the Copa Centroamericana or qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, both of which would begin in 2019.
