So, a top 25ish recruiting class is "flailing blindly"? Really?
That rating is partially based on the size of the class, rather than it's overall quality. Additionally, while there do seem to be a few recruits that may be ready to come in and make an impact (one for sure), the ones that can play our position of greatest need are the lowest rated of the group.
The rankings exist in a vacuum to some degree. JCL was ranked around 40 I believe. He was a great get for Groce no doubt, and was part of a decent recruiting class of AJ and DJW. If you had taken him out of that class and replaced him with a 70-80 ranked point guard, the overall rank of that class would have gone down, but it almost certainly would have turned it into a better fit for the team. I'm excited that Tevian Jones is coming, but if you replaced him with a center of the same ranking (115ish), our top 25ish recruiting class, which wouldn't change in ranking, would be much more confidence inspiring.
