LOL...Will definitely be a tough year of practice for Brandon, to say the least. Will be great development for him though!
Jermaine will be happy to see him. Makes me wonder if has developed past token minutes. We seem to mostly discount him and probably defensive capable at this point.

I think Jermaine will be a great option for when Kofi is gone. He’s better than people think and I think he will show some spark this year. Just a hunch.

Heard it was similar to the Tyler Underwood/ Adam Miller match up.

Did you really hear this ?? Don't sell him short, Please ....

"Uhh I imagine the Lieb/Cockburn matchup is pretty one sided right now."

Lieb is a gifted shooter for his size but not physically strong and may never be....but pretty skilled and crafty offensively. For the first time, since Mike Tisdale, we have a 7 footer that can shoot from over 5 ft. And he has some shrewdness to his game which can really pay off in the clutch. Just glad to have both of them with Lieb having time to grow his game and strength.

I was thinking on the same line of this, with Lieb being much more agile and fleet on his feet offensively. He will never be able to stop Kofi on defense !!

Could Illinois host a bubble in late November or December? In-person instruction ends by Thanksgiving, and the testing is in place.

I was simply talking about the distance that Ashville is from Cherokee. I agree that the Biltmore is nice. Not sure that college students would find it so. That is basically a two hour roundtrip, also, Half of it on two and three lane highways unless they have expanded them in the last five years. A number of nice restaurants at the casino but, very little else in the area to truly excite a college student. I love Cherokee but, I am a lot older than I use to be, lol.

The point of a bubble is to keep the teams isolated so it doesn't matter where they play because there will not be any site seeing

We are going to need him at the 4 against teams like Whisky with Reuvers and Potter, MSU with Bingham and Hauser, IU with Brunk and Jackson-Davis. All teams with the 4 at 6’9” or taller. Other choice Giorgi at the 4 with Jermaine spelling Kofi? Love DMW but too much size to give up defensively and on the boards. Might be off set if he was a scorer and caused match up problems for slower guys.

I really like the sound of his comments. A guy with a chip on his shoulder usually turns out to be pretty good. I can’t wait to see how this plays out.

Undie certainly has many options this year. Hard to predict what the rotation might be. If the season is played during the pandemic then depth is certainly a plus. With most teams probably facing missing players at points during the season the team with adequate replacements has a real advantage. We have that.

A lot to like about what he can bring to the table especially if he can defend multiple positions. We don't need him to be a star can be one of those critical guys off the bench that can bring shooting we desperately need. Excited to see what he can do.

Somebody made this point a few days, maybe a week ago, and I got pretty excited because we are at our deepest in memory this year and the value of depth is at its highest this year. That just doesn't happen to us. Oh, man!

Also an advantage in tournaments with back to back games. Just need the chemistry. 😁

That’s actually a great point. In the potential bubble environment where you may play more games than normal in a short period of time, being able to limit minutes could be a big advantage.

In theory we’re also good enough to blow some teams out, which helps get deeper roster players on the floor anyway, saving our big guns for when we really need them to go.
