In other words a major that no thinking parent would pay for. So is Fink coming or what? As I said a few days ago I’d rather go with someone on the roster. Really meant IW. If he’s as good as advertised why not start him game one. I don’t agree with waiting until game 4 or so. Why would you not start him vs presumed cupcakes Akron, UCONN and E Michigan. Do you really want his first game to be against a Big 10 team? I don’t think so. Let him get feet wet in non conference gimmes.

Hoo boy, my age related fading memory still reminds me we didn't blow anybody out in recent seasons. Each non conference game was barely won. Or we got blown out, as was the case with JGJr against Western Michigan and PJF version 1.

Honestly, it would set up someone for a sales career too. It actually has relevance in today's world.

Fine. If we don’t blow them out then we ain’t going anywhere. So we may as well play IW anyway. But all the freshman that played a couple years ago are bigger, faster , stronger juniors. Along with the other talent we’ve accumulated. I think we’ll handle Akron and the like with relative ease.

Illinois 38 Rutgers 17.....Illinois 55 Minnesota 31.....not sure how you're defining blow outs. Seems like 3+ TD win would qualify.

OK, good. So when was he released? My friend was trying to figure out how long this might go on if Luke doesn't get his waiver.
Milo didn't get a waiver. So he had to sit the entire year football year. He is available week 1

I think he was referring to non-conference games in which case I understand his point. Probably not wise to assume an automatic 3-0 start

You guys are missing my point. This whole FREE LUKE FORD thing is, well, to put it kindly, stupid. What does he need to be freed from? So he might have to sit out a year, just like Milo Eifler. Or, should there be a FREE MILO EIFLER campaign, or has that finished?
