If AG hits one of those first two outside shots I think it's a different game for him. Still did well on the boards and elsewhere (other than trying to block a breakawa dunk - ah, freshman).Underwood spoke about the great week of practice that Griffin had. I’m sure that had something to do with his opportunity.
First of not saying he won't be good. I'm just saying he isn't there. He looks like a traditional freshman aka a bit lost. Also when the coach yells to you to stop shooting that's a sign.
Watching that play, I didn’t think Underwood was telling him not to shoot. I believe he wanted a particular play to get to the basket and Griffin didn’t follow the play.First of not saying he won't be good. I'm just saying he isn't there. On AG, I loved his lead transition bounce pass to Kip on Kip's dunk try (foul)....AG's active hands on D, hustle, blocks and speed in transition really standout. If he gets his shots at good clip... he will be a tremendous asset. I love AG's game!Actually, it's not clear that he's not as good an option as Kipper and Tev. lots of people with praise for Griffin's game yesterday so perhaps some people need to look more closely at other aspects of the game besides his shooting percentage on a given night.
Alot of sloppy passes.....and miseed FTs. We clean that up and we will beat good teams on the road. Giorgi learning to deal wth double team will make huge diff too.I found myself looking at the scoreboard in the first half confused on how we were winning by 5. I don't think we played that well and still were winning by 5. This team has some fight. Only thing I am scared about is how bad we looked against the zone. I could have sworn it was the Groce years.
He also had a similar pass to Ayo that Ayo finished for a layup (and foul I think) - very sharp, hard bounce pass.On AG, I loved his lead transition bounce pass to Kip on Kip's dunk try (foul)....AG's active hands on D, hustle, blocks and speed in transition really standout. With his hustle, rebounding and shooting I think he's our next AJ.They would love to have little brother (sister going to UConn next year). However, we are going to be happy to have Alan. He is much faster than I was aware and I believe he will be an excellent defensive player as well as a scorer despite last nights shooting woes. Needs to improve his handles to get his own shot but could be a DaMonte with scoring next year.
Apologies if this has alrready been posted.
Edit: Guess I should check out the home page every once in awhile instead of coming straight here.
Yeah given that Mr.Griffin who's life is based around coaching and scouting other teams gave a glowing report about Underwood you have to think they will at least give us a look. But obviously the blue bloods have probably already been talking to him as well so that should be an uphill battle, but one we should be in toward the end.You are correct, sir.
