I Always thought these would look nice with a slightly smaller font and the Block I or Shield underneath it - something similar to what LSU currently has.Back in the day, when this bad boy would have matched the wordmark our BB jerseys had. Some consistence type elements across both sports, and a nod to the past. Im not just saying this cause i made it, but it would be "fire emojii's" all over the place. ALL OF THE FIRE EMOJIS!

So you'd want a "Ragin' Cajuns" type helmet then, or no words at all? Because thisJust for brand consistency I tend to prefer only using "Fighting Illini" as a whole.
There's nothing worse than those store-brand t-shirts that say "Illinois Illini"
Nope. Not for me. I for one like the simplicity of just the Block I on the current ones. I'm okay with them indefinitely as long as they put the "I" in the correct place. So you'd want a "Ragin' Cajuns" type helmet then, or no words at all? Because this
was always a bit busy for my taste, and "Fighting" would take up even more space.
(The helmet pic isn't showing up for some reason but I'm sure you're all familiar)
Not easy to doI'm okay with them indefinitely as long as they put the "I" in the correct place.
I wouldn't read anything into that.Just saw this tweet from Illinois athletics with the white outline on the blue block I on the helmets...
IMO instead of the grey nonsense we trot out in for homecoming, we should throwback every homecoming. We can save grey's, if they are necessary, for the night game or some other nonsense.Gosh, these are just beautiful. There is no excuse why these aren't in our normal rotation.
