Best possible outcome regarding Ramey. I don't want anything good to happen to Louisville and I certainly don't want anything good to happen to Miznoz.

Hook 'em.

Ramey to Texas. Mr. Underwood played this one like a General and got the El General instead of waiting around. Good to have a good leader(s)/plural.

Nice to see this drama has ended. Unfortunately our staff spent time on someone I really think had no intention of committing to us. We got a solid player, who seems to really wants to be an Illini. This may be a choice that BU made that will be a difference , we will have instead of coming up empty handed.;):illinois:

How many do they have available for the 2019 class? 12?

Based on the wording "24 visits in a rolling 24 month period", I would assume that we get (24 - this year's visits) for next year. If we used 14 this past year, I suppose we get 10 for next year. If we used 18 this year, I suppose we get 6 next year. Note that I do not know.

The only good news in this is that presumably we don't have very many spots and don't need a whole bunch of visits for the coming year.

Just had a great convo with coach Chin. Super nice guy.

Brad and Chin in Indy at Nike. Walker at UA in Indy. OA in Atlanta.

Chin gave me the info. :):shield:

Just talked to Brad. He’s watching Fire right now. Headed to Atlanta tonight then back to Indy on Sunday.

Just the way he talks, he’s got the swagger. He’s gonna bring us back. :shield:

"Permit the institution to provide up to 24 official visits in a rolling two‐year period" means a max 24 visits in any consecutive 24 month period. The 24 month period moves (rolls) as the calendar turns. I was curious and did some quick research to see where we stand with the official visit count. Based on what I could find (the dates may be off a day or two here/there), the list below looks like our last 24 official visits (note: Mark Smith never took an OV).

If it's accurate, we're tapped out on OVs until August 19, when we can have 1 OV until September 9. Then we can have 4 more OV and so on. Net result, we can have 7 OVs (through 5/31/19) for 2019 recruiting.

1. Trent Frazier (8/19/16)
2. Damonte Williams (9/9/16)
3. Jeremiah Tillmon (9/9/16)
4. Javon Pickett (9/9/16)
5. Kris Wilkes (9/9/16)
6. Abu Kigbab (9/16/16)
7. Mayan Kiir (10/7/16)
8. Greg Eboigbodin (5/31/17)
9. Matic Vessel (6/11/17)
10. Colin Castleson (9/1/17)
11.Landers Nolley (9/1/17)
12. George Conditt (9/15/17)
13. Amadou Sou (9/29/17)

9 of those 24 currently on roster, including 7 of the 17 who visited since BU took over. Hard to say we were too loosy goosy with visits. Hopefully being short on visits is just a temporary thing as we restock, and once we have more stability we won’t have another period where we run out.
