Are your growth plates open? Would Luther pay for you to avoid using a scholarship? Did you wear a Brian Cook jersey yesterday? I have to ask these questions because recruiting is fluid and frankly IDKWYA.
Well, I will be 32 in a few days and I am not particularly athletic (but neither was Larry Bird), but I do live in the same city as Sean Miller, so simply via osmosis, I clearly know something about recruiting top flight players while being accused of improprieties.

Already better credentials than Jay Price.

I have only watched highlights on the news and that was against Okoro. He looked the part, but obviously BU and many on this board don’t see it.

What is he lacking that doesn’t translate into a B10 SF/PF? Asking as I don’t know enough about him.
Highlights are the good stuff and if you watch those again, you’ll see that Payton could not D up Okoro at all. Payton generally scored against Okoro’s non D1 teammates.

Payton is athletic, but his production doesn’t match his athleticism. Players can always improve, but his lack of ball skills hurt him. He’s definitely a fall back plan guy.

It would be criminal coaching malpractice not to take Payton at this point, IMO.
no, it might be criminal to not be courting him at this point, but we found Giorgi, Higgs, and Kane in the spring last year & he is in the noise of where those guys are; we need to get a higher quality big this fall & Payton doesn't move the needle enough to fall anywhere near malpractice.
