It probably wouldn't happen, but I'd love to get Archie Miller rocking the orange and blue.

Last I saw Coleman and hill were 5 -28. Tough to win a game that way.

I know we look back fondly on that post season because of the Miami game, but if memory serves that first game vs Colorado was UGLY. I think we had a decent 1st half and built a lead, then couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in the 2nd

The 2nd half of that game was almost as unwatchable as most of this season has been. We blew a huge lead and had to hang on to win. Miami game was actually much better despite the outcome.

The real crime is that Dustin Ford is still on staff.....barely any staffing changes really hurt Groces chances. Just not a good coach, good personality guy. I wouldn't call him a good motivator....look at how unmotivated this team looks.

I'm going to need to see a note from your physician before I show you those stats. I don't want to be responsible for any Trouble.
Not 5 years bad, but the last 2 or 3 of Weber may have been worse.

It was a defensive struggle if I remember. Actually, both of those tourney games were, but I prefer a defensive struggle over what we see these days. That Colorado team was pretty decent. I think they had 2 NBA players on their roster, Dinwiddie and Roberson.

I have been telling everyone from day one that Kipper was our SG of the future. He is not a power forward as many ill informed folks have stated. JCL needs to work on his overall game in the offseason.

I disagree. He's a small forward in my opinion

Can't blame the coach for the kids missing all of those wide open shots, but at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter. Nail meet coffin.

I went to the parent child camp a few years ago. These kids play at a level that if they have an uncontested shot (like a 40 year old guy trying to guard them), they don't miss. There has to be some correlation of game plan, offensive sets, confidence in the system, etc that breaks down during the game.

All I know is we are one day, one game, closer to when we have a staff out there with a clue what they are doing. Mind-numbingly stupid.

Wasn't Colton Iverson on that team too? As a transfer from Minnesota?

Groce will go down with his guys, we can at least agree on that. Dumb move on his part though. He should've known better. This once great basketball program would not stand for mediocre coaching for very long.

This year is probably worse than last year.

Not fair to say kids showed no heart or effort. No the way I saw it. But poor offensive system, everyone still seems lost, and terrible substitutions takes away any momentum over time.

JCL just needs to develop a more all-around offensive game and cannot just simply rely on shooting 3's all the time. I'd like to see him dribble into the lane more and create fouls or create better spacing and pass it out. If he can eventually develop like Brandon Paul did, he'll be a successful player. Otherwise, he's just a 3 pt. specialist and that's not enough to be a major impact.

100% accurate. The kids are playing hard, their effort is just misplaced because the scheme is terrible.

I want groce asked over and over again why kipper was on the bench to start the half. He needs to answer for this.
That's one of those killers for this team. No recognition at all of where the few glimmers of hope are coming from.

Motivation and effort aren't the reason we are in this position. Why do people always have to question a guys effort after a loss? This team plays hard, but is not good enough.

Just watch Malcolm every time he misses a shot or makes a bad play. You can tell he wants it more than anyone on the court.

Malcolm has been pressing a lot lately. But who can blame the guy? Who else is going to take the game over? Who else can be the go-to-guy? Who else has that kind of an impact? Nobody. So, I can't fault Malcolm for taking difficult shots because his teammates haven't given him enough of a reason to be relied on.
