So I was wrong. Illinois moved from 31 to 30 on the site. However, the basketball team is rated lower than Minnesota,Rutgers, Purdue, Iowa, Michigan and Penn State I believe. With all due respect to all you statistical
megadata geeks,Illinois has beaten all those teams. WTF.

Again, these models look at the whole body of work, including our games against the like of Miami and Missouri. If we had even a semi-respectable non-conference performance, it would be a whole different story and we'd be probably top 20ish.
