Hey Dan, so is the game this Friday something that we can watch on ESPN3? I thought it wasn't being shown but I believe ESPN3 is something we can watch on the internet right...Thanks for your help!
I am not Dan but I play one on TV. Anyway, how to watch this game was discussed in the other GCU thread but I will bring it here. GCU has something on their athletic web site called GCUTV (<
https://gculopes.com/watch/?>). I tried it out when they played their exhibition game to mixed results. I went back last night to try again. I was able to watch the GCU vs Davenport game on my computer using Safari and Opera. I was NOT able to view using Chrome or Firefox. Don't know why. Maybe missing some kind of plug in? I was using a Mac. So maybe it will work in Chrome and Firefox on a PC? I can cast the game to my tv from my computer but won't go into that unless asked as everyone has different hardware. So you have the GCUTV option. In addition, as with their exhibition game (vs CSU San Bernardino) and with last night's game against Davenport I did a google search for the games (GCU vs. CSU San Bernardino, and GCU vs Davenport) and got links to Youtube live videos of both games (clicked on the "video" menu at the top rather than the "all"). So if the GCUTV does not work for you there is the possibility of doing a search for GCU vs Illinois and getting a Youtube live video of the game and casting that to your tv. Of course, this depends on whether they treat the Illinois game the same way as the other two previous games.
Also, if you cannot watch the game live you may be able to watch later. GCU's first two games are archived so you can go to the GCUTV web site and watch later. Again, though, although this works for their first two games, will they allow that for the Illinois game? Anyway, go to that site, click on "On Demand" and below will be the archived games. And, as with the live feed, this did not work for me on a Mac using Chrome or Firefox but did with Safari and Opera. Also, you might have to fiddle with it a little. For the CSU San Bernardino game it kept saying "live feed will begin shortly" or words to that effect. I had to move the scub bar a little to the right to get the video going. I did not have that problem with the Davenport game but I did notice that it was over 4 hours long. The last two hours, more or less, were just blank. So basically I am saying is that it might not be a smooth experience.
