Yep. I was gonna say -8, based on current Sagarin Ratings. https://www.usatoday.com/sports/ncaaf/sagarin/Purdue -7 would be my line guess.
I'm still gonna guess 4-8 for the season, unfortunately.
3-2. We didn't cover against Penn St.Interesting, Illinois is 4-1 against the spread, with the only exception being Kent State in week 1. Wins and losses aside, this shows that Illinois so far has outpaced expectations.
The cluster of Purdue (56), Northwestern(55), Minnesota(61), and Nebraska(83), will define the season for Illinois(100). Win Three of these four and we go bowling. All would be upsets.
I guess I chose to forget the 4th quarter...3-2. We didn't cover against Penn St.
Who could blame you?I guess I chose to forget the 4th quarter...
Purdue has a good offense and improving defense. We will need tds, not fgs to stay in the game. The have a frosh wr, rondale moore, who is extremely good. While I get Purdue being favored, -8 would be outrageous. They freaking lost to EMU. Give me those Illini points all day.
If a touchdown pass against Missouri in the last couple minutes is not overturned, Purdue probably beats Mizzou.
Purdue is a passing team and the game against Eastern Michigan was played in a steady rain from the hurricane. It rained every single minute.
They beat a then ranked Boston College.
They beat a bad Nebraska team in Lincoln but it is still Nebraska.
This Purdue team is not that bad of a team, they are beatable but we will have to bring our best defensive game of the year.
This is my worry as well. Thinking their passing game is going to shred our young secondary....I wish I was more optimistic about an Illini win here but I'm afraid Purdue will just score too much.
