The Best Trophies In Sports

Many candidates out there for this topic.

Personally, I think the Stanley Cup is one of the best ones out there. I got to see it up close and personal at the State Fair after the first of the Hawks recent titles. What strikes you is how enormous that trophy is. It's amazing to see all the names that are on the Cup and then you see there are empty places for future names.

There are some excellent rivalry trophies in college football. One that I didn't know about until just now: SMU and TCU play for an iron skillet

The Stanley Cup is #1 in my book, followed by the World Series trophy. The Super Bowl and College Football championship trophies are rather bland.

Below is the list of college football rivalry games and trophies. There are some interesting ones out there but I gotta say some unique ones include the $5 Bits of Broken Chair (Minnesota-Nebraska), Jeweled Shillelagh (ND-USC), Platypus Trophy (Oregon-Oregon State), and the Keg of Nails (Cincinnati-Louisville).

Not a trophy per se, but I really love the hideous gold jackets that NFL Hall of Famers get.

And as dumb as the competition for the award is, the Heisman Trophy itself is pretty awesome.
