Wisconsin assistant/Former UIC head coach Howard Moore involved in fatal car accident

Moore and his family were driving on a Michigan highway early Saturday morning to visit his wife's family when their vehicle was hit head-on by a wrong way driver. Moore and his son survived but his wife and daughter were both killed in the accident.

Moore played at Wisconsin in the early 1990s and was an assistant at several schools in the Midwest including a 5 year stint as an assistant under Bo Ryan before taking the UIC job in 2010. He was the Flames' head coach for 5 seasons with one postseason appearance in 2013. After he was let go by UIC following the 2014-15 season, he returned to Madison and has been a part of Greg Gard's staff ever since.
