Sam McLaurin leaving Coastal Carolina for Illinois
May 3, 2012 4:39 PM
"I knew what I wanted all along, and they had everything I wanted here, so why look elsewhere?" he said of the Fighting Illini..
"As I've been doing a lot of my research, I've noticed there's no certain path to law school," McLaurin said. "There's no direct way to get into law school. There's no certain criteria they're looking for. What intrigues me is I have the opportunity to get a master's in one year, completely online. After the season, I have the flexibility to be here, go home and see my family and work out [in preparation for pursuing a pro career]."
