The Illini put on a much-improved showing today in their 41-24 loss to the Wisconsin Badgers. Illinois was in it most of the way and actually out-gained UW yardage-wise 538 - 464, but the two times they could not capitalize within the red zone in the 3rd quarter (both resulted in missed FGs) eliminated the outside chance of a win. That, plus the sensational play of Brian Calhoun (197 yds, 5 TDs). Official recap here.
Tim Brasic on the run.
Pierre Thomas scores a 3rd quarter TD. Filed under: Illini Football, Illinois Loyalty Photos, Wisconsin Badgers
