The Marching Illini sounded good; the crowd was sparse.
The Northwestern Wildcat Marching Band made the trip.
The West Colonnades.
Memorial Stadium was less than half full (31,465) for the Illini's season-ending 38-21 loss to Northwestern. Illinois showed a lot of life in the first half, trading scores with NU for a 3-point halftime deficit. The Illini were held scoreless in the 2nd half, thus putting to bed Ron Zook's first year misery as head coach.
