The wait and anxiety is over, and not only did the Illini make the 2007 men's NCAA tournament, but
location-wise received an extremely favorable draw by playing in Columbus, OH.
#12 Illinois will face #5 Virginia Tech Friday at 6:10pm in the West Region. The winner
will face the #4 Southern Illinois - #13 Holy Cross victor Sunday.
The Big Ten conference received 6 bids to the tourney when most prognosticators predicted they would
get four or five tops.
