Illinois football hits the halfway point in Big Ten play Saturday as it faces
the Hawkeyes as favorites in Iowa City.
It will be the first time this season the Illini (5-1, 3-0) plays as a team ranked
in the top 25 (#18 in the AP). Iowa (2-4, 0-3) has not recovered since going
down to Iowa State on a last-second field goal, losing to every
team in conference Illinois has played and beaten thus far (Wisconsin, Indiana, Penn St).
Illinois has enjoyed a week full of positive national exposure and Heisman mention
for Rashard Mendenhall.
